The Building Code of Australia (BCA) requires that new building constructions have fire rating measures in place to prevent the spread of flames and minimise structural damage. Annual audits must be undertaken to ensure compliance with the Building Code of Australia and the Victorian Building Act on all new and existing buildings effective July 1st 1994.
The BCA requires fire resistant levels (FRL) to many elements of construction of a building, therefore there is a requirement to produce certification for all fire protection installed. The systems used must comply with Section AS 1530 part 4, be installed correctly and comply with all relevant OH&S standards to achieve the high levels required to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy.
FIRE8 will ensure all certification requirements are provided upon completion of project.
